Our golf course is located in beautiful moorland countryside high above Barrhead and Paisley on the Gleniffer Braes. The course is almost 600 feet above sea level with breathtaking panoramic views from the tees and fairways. The views are truly spectacular with superb viewing over Paisley and the Lower Clyde Valley to Ben Lomond and beyond. With the course playing at almost 6000 yards from the medal tees, it provides a great test for all levels of amateur golfers. A medium length course by yardage, Fereneze is the closest thing you will find to a links course without going to the coast. With relatively tight fairways, this is a course which rewards accurate driving. Each hole presents a new challenge, with golfers having to adapt to local conditions when playing approach shots to fast and sloping greens.
We are investing in our club and will be starting work on an outdoor decking area accessible from the Main Lounge. Volunteers are required, get in touch if you can help out.

The Fereneze Swing Studio comprises a Skytrak Launch Monitor loaded with E6 Golf Simulation Software which boast 15 golf courses, including the likes of Gleneagles, Pinehurst and the Belfry. The Skytrak system can give you detailed reports of your practice session with regards to your distance gapping, driving distances or wedge accuracy. The room also has V1 video analysis for swing coaching and a quality putting surface.
The Club have relaxed the rules to allow ‘smart casual’ in the clubhouse with ‘appropriate golfing attire’ to be worn on the golf course. ‘Smart casual’ permits the wearing of smart jeans and training shoes.
We have a large car park with 4 dedicated EV charging bays.
